The ARRIS D5™ Universal Edge QAM is a unique modular IP edge network device that enables delivery of a wide variety of multimedia services over HFC networks. It provides a complete QAM Sharing solution with simultaneous support of Video-On-Demand, Digital Broadcast, and multiple standards-based Switched Digital Video services. Extensive management and provisioning features are integrated in the D5 solution using a of set of local or remote graphical and command line tools. A software-only field upgrade achieves Modular Cable Modem Termination System (M-CMTS) compliance for simultaneous delivery of DOCSIS downstream data and MPEG-2 Digital Video content.
